Lipfire Revolving Rifle

A 6-shot cylinder-type rifle chambered for .44-caliber lipfire cartridge. Unfluted cylinder, with slots at its rear to allow for cartridge lips. Round barrels were 26" to 28" in length, with octagon breech. Finish blued. Case colored frame and walnut buttstock. Not marked with maker's name. Approximately 100 manufactured between 1861 and 1863.
