Iver Johnson Arms Co. was founded in 1871 in Fitchsburg, Massachusetts. One of the oldest and most successful of old-line arms companies, on which our modern era has taken its toll. In 1984 company moved to Jacksonville, Arkansas; in 1987 it was purchased by American Military Arms Corporation. This company has released some of the older designs as well as some new models. In 1993, company went out of business. Original Iver Johnson line is listed under its own heading.
