Introduced in 1994. This 686 model designed to be an entry level 686. Offers all mechanical features of 686 series, without any frills. Offered in 12-gauge only, with 26" or 28" barrels with open-side rib. Plain walnut stock, with checkering and plain blue receiver. Weight about 6.7 lbs. Renamed Silver Essential in 1997.
