Limited number of approximately 1000 Bergmann Model 5s were made, with 12" barrel. Solid wood detachable buttstock and marked "Karabiner Bergmann" on action cover. Very few were made with full-length Mannlicher-type stock and sold as Bergmann Model 1897/07 Sporting Carbine; these are worth about 50 percent more than long barreled pistol, with detachable stock.
