Under Hammer Pepperbox
Pepperboxes produced by Blunt & Syms are noteworthy for the fact they incorporate a ring trigger cocking/revolving mechanism and a concealed under hammer. They were produced in a variety of calibers and standard finish was blued. Normally these pistols are found marked simply "A-C" on face of barrel group. Some examples though are marked "Blunt & Syms New York". This firm was in business from approximately 1837 to 1855.
