Forerunner of German Luger. Borchardt was a semi-automatic pistol. Chambered for 7.65mm Borchardt cartridge. Fitted with 6.5" barrel. Magazine held 8 rounds. Pistol was designed by Hugo Borchardt and manufactured by Ludwig Lowe of Berlin. Later models manufactured by DWM, Deutsch Waffen Und Munitionsfabriken, Berlin. Many Borchardts come with a case which holds shoulder stock, holster, extra magazines and numerous other accessories.
