Limited manufacture in 2008 in memory of Jeff Cooper. Dean of 1911 school of magazine writers, WWII and Korean War veteran, professor, originator of the sport of practical pistol competition, founder of IPSC (International Practical Shooting Confederation) and Gunsite Academy. Created with input from Col. Cooper's friends and family. Virtually all Ed Brown enhancements are included, plus Cooper's pen and sword logo on the exhibition grade Cocobolo grips. "DVC" on slide standing for latin phrase "Diligentia, Vis, Celeritas", meaning "Accuracy, Power, Speed", which later became the motto of IPSC.
