Based on original model of 1875 designed by Army Ordnance officer Col. George Schofield of the 10th Cavalry. Top-break action, with rapid ejection system. Original was chambered for proprietary .45 Schofield cartridge. This new model offered in .38 Special, 44-40 or .45 Colt. The .45 Colt models will also fire .45 Schofield ammo. Barrel lengths are: 7" cavalry length in all calibers, 5" in .38 or .45; 3.5" in .45 Colt only.
