Model No. 3 Schofield
Based on original S&W Schofield model of 1875 designed by Army Ordnance officer Col. George Schofield of the 10th Cavalry. Top-break action, with rapid ejection system. Original was chambered for .45 Schofield cartridge. The .45 Colt models will also fire .45 Schofield ammo. Model designations vary by barrel length including: Civilian & Military Models with 7” barrels in .38 Special, 44-40 or .45 Colt.; Wells Fargo 5" barrel in .38 or .45; and short 3.5" in barrel .45 Colt only.
