Underhammer Turret Rifle
A .36- or .40-caliber percussion radial cylinder rifle, with 31" or 32" octagonal barrels and walnut stocks. Barrel marked "Cochrans/Many/Chambered/&/Non Recoil/Rifle" and top strap "C.B. Allen / Springfield". These rifles were produced in variations listed. Manufactured during late 1830s and 1840s.
