Dubiel Arms was a manufacturer of custom bolt-action rifles in Sherman, Texas from 1975 to about 1987. Joseph Dubiel and Dr. John Tyson were founders and co-owners of the company. Dubiel's father was John Dubiel, a well-known gunsmith in Oklahoma in the 1920s and '30s. It is believed that Texas rifles were based on his original designs. Actions featured a bolt with five locking lugs and a short 36-degree bolt rotation. Rifles were available with many options, stock designs and custom features. Made in most popular centerfire calibers. Several Dubiel rifles are on display at the Buffalo Bill Historical Center in Cody, Wyoming. In May of 2012, co-founder Dr. John Tyson, made a presentation of nine rifles to the NRA National Firearms Museum in Fairfax, Virginia. Prices shown are estimated values of basic models. Various options would increase these values significantly.
