Single-Shot Derringer

Pocket pistol made by the firm of James Bown & Son, doing business as Enterprise Gun Works. Chambered for .22- or .32-caliber rimfire cartridges. A few in .25 rimfire have been noted and would add approximately 25 percent to values listed. Barrel 2.5" in length and part-round/part-octagonal. Pivots sideways for loading. Spur trigger and bird's-head grip. Barrel stamped "Eclipse". Made of nickel-plated iron, with walnut grips. Approximately 10,000 manufactured between 1870 and 1890.
