Model 1905

A smaller version of Model 1903. Designed to be a pocket pistol. Chambered for 6.35mm cartridge. Became known as "Vest Pocket" and was also basis for many Eibar copies. Has 2.5" barrel and produced in two distinct variations. First variation had no safety lever or slide lock and relied on grip safety. Second variation, that occurred at approximately serial number 150,000, added this safety lever and slide lock, which helped simplify dismantling of pistol. Available blued or nickel-plated. Plated models would bring 30 to 50 percent premium. Approximately 1,086,100 manufactured between 1906 and 1959. Known in U.S. as Model 1905 and in Europe as Model 1906.
