Type 1 Markings are found on early models which are marked "HI-STANDARD" / "DERRINGER" and have EAGLE logo on left side of barrel. Models marked "D-100" for .22-caliber and "DM-101" for .22 Magnum on left side of barrel. Date range 1962 to about 1967.
