.54-caliber breech-loading single-shot percussion carbine, with 22.5" barrel secured to fore-end by one barrel band. Blued case-hardened, with brass mounts. Lock marked "A.H.Waters & Co./Milbury, Mass." and patent dates stamped on breech lever. Approximately 1,000 manufactured in 1855 and 1856.
