Pinfire Revolver

Company was in business of revolver manufacture in 1850s. Produced a .40-caliber pinfire revolver, similar to Lefauchaux and other pinfires of the day. Barrel lengths vary and unfluted cylinder holds 6 shots. Pistols are double-action and sometimes found with ornate, but somewhat crude engraving. Finish is blued, with wood grips. Quality of these weapons is fair. They were serviceable, but ammunition created somewhat of a problem. Rather fragile and difficult to handle, with protruding primer pin to contend with. LePage also made other caliber and configuration pinfires. Generally, larger caliber brings more and smaller caliber, especially the small folding trigger models, bring less. Also see LeFaucheux.
