LEFEVER, D. M., SONS & COMPANY
Location: Syracuse, New York
In 1901, when Dan Lefever was forced out of Lefever Arms the company he had founded in 1884, he organized another company to produce a line of high-grade boxlock side-by-side doubles. He operated Lefever, D.M. & sons until his death in 1906, at which time the firm closed its doors. During this five-year period, approximately 1,200 shotguns were made in several grades. This makes them quite rare and difficult to evaluate. It is important to get an appraisal from a trusted source before buying or selling. Prices shown are average values.
