Leman Militia Rifle

.58-caliber percussion muzzle-loader has 33" round barrel. Stock is full-length and held on by two barrel bands. Ramrod mounted under barrel. Trim is brass and barrel browned, with case colored lock. Lock marked "H.E.Leman/Lancaster, Pa." Approximately 500 manufactured between 1860 and 1864. Believed used by Pennsylvania State Militia in Civil War.
