Einhand Model 2A

Unique design resembled Swiss Chylewski. Allows shooter to cock and fire this blowback-operated semi-automatic pistol with one hand (Einhand). Chambered for 6.35mm cartridge. Has 2" barrel. Magazine holds 6 shots. Finish blued, with molded horn grips marked "Lignose". Trigger guard on this pistol has a reverse curve that fits finger and moves backward to cock slide. Short-grip model without Einhard feature was Model 2; long grip model without Einhand was Model 3. First 9,000 to 10,000 examples (all four variations serial numbered in same series) were marketed under Bergmann name; only later Lignose. Manufactured in early 1920s by Bergman Company. Firm merged with Lignose under whose name it was produced.
