1914 Artillery Long Pistol (LP 08) Features a nine-position adjustable sight, which has a base that is an integral part of barrel. Has stock lug and furnished with military-style flat board stock and holster rig (see Accessories). Chamber dated from 1914-1918. Safety and extractor are both marked. Developed for artillery and machine gun crews; many thousands were manufactured, with one- to five-digit serial numbers—some have letter suffixes. Quite desirable from a collector's standpoint and is rarer than its production figures would indicate. After the war many were destroyed as the allies deemed them more insidious than other models, for some reason. NOTE: Add 100 percent to Models stamped with 1914 date.
