Established in 1960 by R. Maynard and Art Biehl. M. B. Associates produced Gyrojet pistols and carbines from 1962 to 1970. Basically a hand held rocket launcher, shooting a 12mm or 13mm spin stablized rocket cartridge, composed of four-part solid rocket fuel. Nose of the round was forced rearward onto a stationary firing pin, igniting fuel, expelling round and recocking for next shot. These were not very accurate and led to MBA's demise.
