Ballard No. 8 Union Hill Rifle

Model has 28" and 30" part-round part-octagonal barrel. Chambered for .32-40 and .38-55 cartridges. Checkered pistol-grip stock, with nickel-plated buttplate; opening lever is fully enclosed ring as on repeaters. Double-set trigger and a tang peep, with globe front sight. Receiver not engraved. Manufactured between 1884 and 1890. Found only with late markings. This was one of the most popular rifles in Ballard line.
