Glenfield Lever-Action Rifles

Glenfield line of rifles were designed to be sold in large outlet chain stores. Simply cheaper versions that were to be sold for less money. Rifles functioned fine, but birch was used instead of walnut and pressed checkering instead of hand-cut. Manufactured under Glenfield name between 1964 and 1983. There are five models of Lever-Action Glenfields: 30, 30A, 30AS, 30GT and 36G. Chambered for .30-30 cartridge. Basic differences are slight and in most cases, merely cosmetic. They are good serviceable rifles, but have little or no collector interest or investment potential.
