Marlin 1887 Double-Action Revolver

Last handgun Marlin produced and the only double-action. Chambered for .32- or .38-caliber centerfire cartridges. Break-open auto-ejector type. Fluted cylinder holds 6 shots in .32-caliber; 5 shots in .38-caliber. Round ribbed 3.25" barrel. Frame made of steel. Standard finish nickel-plated, with blued trigger guard. Many full-blued examples have been noted. Round butt grips are hard rubber. Top of barrel marked "Marlin Firearms Co. New Haven Conn. U.S.A./Patented Aug. 9 1887". Approximately 15,000 manufactured between 1887 and 1899.
