Model 47
Similar to Model 20, with 23" round barrel and improved magazine tube. Has case colored receiver and checkered buttstock. Not offered for sale nor was it listed in Marlin's catalog, but offered free of charge to anyone purchasing four shares of Marlin stock for $100. One other fact about this model: it was the first Marlin to be case colored with new cyanide method, which created a tiger-striped pattern that is peculiar to Model 47.
