Model 1895 and 1895SS

Model 1895 was re-introduced on Model 336 action, that had been modified to handle .45-70 cartridge. This was done to capitalize on nostalgia wave that descended on the country in early 1970s. Features 22" round barrel, with two-thirds-length magazine tube that holds 4 shots. Walnut stock had straight-grip until Model 1895S was released in 1980, when pistol-grip stock was used. In 1983, Model 1895SS with crossbolt hammer-block safety was added; currently produced in this configuration. NOTE: Add 25 percent for early "B" prefix guns below serial number 12000.
