Model 1936, Rifle or Carbine
Lever-action model is a direct descendant of Model 1893. Chambered for .30-30 and .32 Special cartridge. Stock streamlined with a pistol-grip added and 20" round barrel. A barrel band and improved sights are utilized. Has a 7-shot tube magazine and semi-beavertail forearm. Receiver, lever and hammer are case colored. Rest is blued. Manufactured between 1936 and 1948. Designated Model 36 in 1937.
1st Variation (early 1936)
Variation has a slight "fish-belly" forearm, long tang, case colored receiver, lever and hammer, with no serial number prefix. These are rare.
