Merrill Carbine
Similar in appearance to rifle, except barrel length is 22"; stock only half-length with one barrel band. There are some variations that are quite subtle in appearance, but which have a considerable effect on values. We recommend that an independent appraisal be secured. Values given are for standard 1st and 2nd Types. Approximately 15,000 total manufactured. Most were used in Civil War.

No eagle stamped on lock. Breech lever is flat.
