.32-caliber radial cylinder pistol, with 1.75" barrel. Manufactured by Ames Manufacturing Company (see Ames entry). Nickel-plated, with hard rubber grips. Sideplates marked "Minneapolis Firearms Co." and "The Protector". Several thousand sold during 1890s.
