NORTH AMERICAN ARMS
Location: Provo, Utah
Originally launched as Rocky Mountain Arms in 1971 producing firearms designed by Dick Casull, the firm was known for the creation of single-action revolvers named “The world’s largest and smallest.” Renamed “North American Arms,” NAA then became a subsidiary of aerospace firm Talley Manufacturing. Purchased by Teleflex in the 1980s, the new owner in turn sold NAA to Sandy Chisholm (current president) in 1991. NAA’s current focus is on stainless steel Mini-Revolvers in .22 Short, .22 Long Rifle or .22 Winchester Magnum Rimfire with spur triggers, short barrels, and (since 1998) small centerfire automatics. The business has remained in Provo, Utah, for the last 25 years.
