Army Revolver

As above in .44-caliber. Fitted with 7.5" barrel. Frame of iron case-hardened, octagonal barrel blued, grips of oil-finished walnut. Early production marked as Navy models, while later production examples marked "Petengill's Patent 1856, pat'd July 22, 1856 and July 27, 1858". Believed 3,400 made in 1860s. NOTE: Some examples will be found with government inspector's marks and worth approximately 25 percent more.
