The .22-caliber version has 3.5" octagonal barrel with 7-round unfluted cylinder; .32-caliber version has 4", 5" or 6" octagonal barrel and 6-shot unfluted cylinder. Frames are silver-plated brass. Barrels and cylinders blued. Grips of walnut. Standard markings include "L.W. Pond, Worcester, Mass." and patent dates. Approximately 2,000 manufactured in .22-caliber; 5,000 in .32-caliber between 1863 and 1870.
