Model 514

Bolt-action single-shot .22 rimfire rifle manufactured from 1948 to 1971. Total of 770,932 were made, with standard barrels and sights. Another 5,617 were made with Routledge Bore barrels, which were meant for use only with .22 LR Shot loads and came with a shotgun-style bead front sight. These rifles have 24" smoothbore barrel, with bore diameter of .22" that opens up to .40 for the last 12". Routledge Bore Model 514 was never in Remington catalog and available only on special order. Design originated with Michigan trap shooter and gunsmith Fred Routledge in 1938. NOTE: Add $100 for Routledge barrel.
