A .58-caliber percussion rifle, with 33" barrel. Full length stock secured by two barrel bands. Lock case-hardened marked "Remington's Ilion N.Y.". Barrel blued and furniture of brass. Approximately 12,500 manufactured between 1862 and 1865.
