Model 1871 Army Rolling Block Pistol

A .50-caliber rolling block single-shot pistol, with 8" round barrel. Blued case-hardened, with walnut grips and fore-end. Distinguishing feature is a rearward extension at top of the grip and a squared butt. Approximately 6,000 manufactured between 1872 and 1888. Engraved ivory-stocked versions, as pictured below, will bring considerable premiums.
