A .44-40 caliber single-action revolver, with 5.5" or 7.5" barrel and 6-shot cylinder. Blued or nickel-plated, with hard rubber grips bearing monogram "RA" at top. Barrel marked "Remington Arms Co., Ilion, N.Y.". Approximately 2,000 manufactured between 1891 and 1894. Beware of fakes. NOTE: Add 40 percent for blued version.
