Remington announced Model 1100 Limited Edition "One of Three Thousand", in September, 1980. High grade gun, with positive cut checkered fancy American walnut wood, fitted rosewood grip cap, thin brown butt pad, 14K gold trimmed and etched with hunting scenes on receiver. A total of 2,016 Model 1100 12-gauge shotguns were produced featuring a 24-carat gold inlay of founder Eliphalet Remington, a high gloss C Grade walnut stock with fleur-de-lis cut checkering, 28-inch barrel with a ventilated rib, and polished blue finish.
