A limited edition made only in 2016 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the Remington company. A total of 2,016 Model 870 12-gauge shotguns were produced featuring a 24-carat gold inlay of founder Eliphalet Remington, a high gloss C Grade walnut stock with fleur-de-lis cut checkering, 26-inch barrel with a ventilated rib, and polished blue finish.

Part of Remington American Classic series honoring some of the great models of the 20th century. Inaugurating this line in 2014, is this special edition Model 870 pump action and a comparable Model 1100 semi-automatic. Features include a higher B-grade walnut stock, gold filled engraving and ventilated recoil pad, with white outline as was found on the originals.

Introduced 2017 in 12 gauge (81230) and 20 gauge (81145). This is a non-NFA 14" barrel configuration attached to a pump-action receiver. Has a Shockwave Raptor pistol grip, Magpul M-Lok forend. Cylinder-bore barrel with bead sight, steel receiver, black oxide finish, and 26.2" overall length. 5.6 lbs. Synthetic black stock. The 870 Tac-14 was designed and manufactured by Remington as a "firearm" and is not governed by the National Firearms Act (NFA).
