Sharps & Hankins Model 1861 Navy Rifle

A .52 Sharps & Hankins caliber breech-loading single-shot rifle, with 32.75" barrel. Full stock secured by three barrel bands. Blued case-hardened, with walnut stock. Approximately 700 made in 1861 and 1862. A few were made with leather barrel covers; worth premium.
