A .24-caliber breech-loading carbine, with 24" leather covered barrel. Case-hardened, with walnut stock. Frame marked "Sharps & Hankins Philada.". Approximately 8,000 manufactured between 1861 and 1862.—To bring full value for Exc, Fine, & VG specimens the leather barrel cover must be intact.
