Military Rifle—Navy Model

Similar to the carbine, with 30" round barrel and full-length walnut stock held on by three barrel bands. Features an iron fore-end tip and sling swivels. Civil War production consisted of two models. A Navy model manufactured between 1862 and 1864 (approximately 1,000 of these so marked).
