Old Model Pocket Rifle

Chambered for .22 rimfire cartridge. Has an 8" or 10" part-octagonal barrel, a spur trigger and an external hammer on which the firing pin is mounted. Extractor is spring-loaded. A plated brass frame, blued barrel and walnut or rosewood grips. Shoulder stock nickel-plated or black. Barrel marked "J. Stevens & Co. Chicopee Falls, Mass.". Approximately 4,000 manufactured between 1869 and 1886.
