Introduced in 2008. Ruger's first striker-fired semi-automatic pistol. Chambered in 9mm Parabellum or .40 S&W. Double-action-only, with 4.14" barrel, 17+1 capacity. Available in three finish configurations: stainless steel slide with matte black frame; blackened stainless slide with matte black frame; blackened stainless slide with matte black frame. Also available in compact version, with 3.5" barrel (SR9c, SR40c). Note: Ruger recalled all early-production SR9 pistols with a "330" serial number prefix because of a potential safety issue. SR40 has a 15-round magazine.
