A less elaborate inexpensive version of No.1. Action the same, except lever is less ornate in appearance and lacks the locking bar. Uncheckered stock is a military carbine style, with barrel band. Similar in appearance to Model 44 and 10/22. This serviceable rifle chambered for .45-70, when released in 1972. Later chamberings added .22 Hornet, .30-40 Krag, .223, .44 Magnum and .375 Win. Barrel 22" long. Folding rear sight. Discontinued in 1987. Note: Add 25% premium for .44 Magnum or .375 Win.
