M48 Hungarian Tokarev

Perhaps the rarest of all Eastern European Tokarev pistols is the Hungarian Model 48. Manufactured at the Femaru factory in Budapest from 1949 to about 1958. Never imported to United States and very few have been found on the world market making it quite scarce. Those made from 1949 to 1956 have "Rakosi" crest (the Hungarian premier at the time); those from late 1956 to possibly 1958 having "Kadar" crest. Lined hard rubber grips on M48 have Hungarian communist emblem in the center. Serial numbers and manufacture year on left frame.
