The Aranzabals began arms production around 1883, continuing as Trocaloa, Aranzabal y Cia from 1895 to 1937. Along with Orbea Hermanos and Garate Anitua, TAC was a maker of quality copies of American revolver design in the Eibar region (along with many smaller makers producing good to poor quality guns.)
