Dragoon

A .44-caliber percussion revolver, with 7.75" round barrel. Fitted with loading lever and 6-shot cylinder. Barrel marked "Clark, Sherard & Co., Lancaster, Texas". Cylinder etched in two panels, with crossed cannons and legend "Texas Arms". Approximately 400 revolvers of this type were made between 1862 and 1867. Prospective purchasers are advised to secure a qualified appraisal prior to acquisition. Some sources report that there are only four known surviving examples. Values are extremely speculative.
