In 1996, assets of the Wesson Firearms Co. was purchased by New York International Corp. Full production of new models occurred in 1997. These firearms are laser marked on the barrel or frame with: "NYI" in an oval and below "DAN WESSON FIREARMS"; on the next line "NORWICH, NEW YORK USA". In April 2005, Dan Wesson Firearms was acquired by CZ-USA. Production continues at the Norwich, New York facility.
