Martially Inspected Henry Rifles

Beginning in 1863, Federal Government ordered 1,730 Henry Rifles for use in Civil War. Most of these government-inspected rifles fall into serial number range 3000 to 4000, while balance are close to this serial-number range. They are marked "C.G.C." for Charles G. Chapman, government inspector. These Henry rifles were used under actual combat conditions and for that reason it is doubtful there are any rifles that would fall into excellent condition category. Therefore, no price is given. NOTE: There are many counterfeit examples of these rifles. It is strongly advised that an expert in this field be consulted prior to sale.
