Introduced in 1949. Chambered for .218 Bee, .22 Hornet, .25-20 Win. and .32-20 Win. A bolt-action, with detachable box magazine. Fitted with 24" round barrel and front sight ramp forged integrally with barrel. Not drilled and tapped for scope blocks except for a few late rifles. Produced from 1949 to 1957, with about 63,000 sold. NOTE: Add 50 percent premium for rifles chambered .25-20 and .32-20. Deduct 40 percent for rifles with non-factory drilled and tapped scope holes.
Available in two styles:
1. Standard Rifle: 24" round barrel; plain walnut pistol-grip stock and fore-end; 1" sling swivels are standard.
2. Special Rifle: 24" round barrel; select walnut checkered pistol-grip stock and fore-end. Furnished with open sporting rear sight or Lyman 57A micrometer receiver sight.
